Sensus’ founder and Managing Director Rolf Huiberts (41years) started his profesional career at the Energy research Centre of the Netherlands (ECN) where he contributed to the development of SOFC components. In 1998 he became head of a project team who was responsible for the production, exploitation and commercialisation of ECN’s SOFC technology. This resulted in 2000 in the erection of InDEC B.V., the first commercial SOFC cell supplier in the world. In his occupation as Commercial and Operational Manager, InDEC developed to a well known SOFC company having a world wide customer base. In 2003 InDEC was acquired by H.C. Starck and the SOFC production was transferred to the subsidiary company H.C. Starck Ceramics in Selb, Germany.
In 2007 he became the Product Manager at H.C. Starck Ceramics of advanced planar products from ceramic materials and refractory metals, like SOFC components and Tungsten based Collimators.
Amongst other occupations, as of 2009 he started as business developer for Sensus to conduct the commercialization of a third generation Photovoltaic technology.
